The hero’s name is Karthik and the film name is ‘Karthik’. It is rarely the name of the actor is kept as the title! We have a few examples of Mr Rajakumar, Upendra, Shruthi etc in Kannada filmdom.

The Kannada film ‘Karthik’ audio was released by Swasthik Audio in Bangalore in the presence of KFCC President Basanthkumar Patil, KCN Chandrasekhar, Umesh Banakar, Muralidhar Halappa, actress Ashwini, stunt director Nanjundi Nagaraj, director Satish Shetty and hero Karthik. The music director John Varki and heroine of the film Archana Gupta were not present.

Addressing the crowded gathering, Raj Milan, Kannada Film Producers Association President KCN Chandrasekhar described the need of story and screenplay besides the effort to meet the audience expectations.

KFCC President Basanthkumar Patil lauded the intelligence of Mangalorean people. Satish Shetty is a Mangalorean also director Marathi films. The Marathi films today are not copying subjects like Kannada films stated Patil in his address.

Action director Nanjundi Nagaraj expressed the easy work with an actor like Karthik who is trained well in martial arts. Hrudayashiva for the first time has written all the five songs and a bit for the film. Raj Purohit of Belgaum now in Mumbai plays the bad man in ‘Karthik’.

The protagonist of the film Karthik after ‘Yuva’ in the last year is keeping high hopes on this film. He has liked the song Nee Thandiruve…in the film that is choreographed by Chinni Prakash.
